What is Mixed Reality Aesthetics? Julian Stadon, artist and academic in Innovative Media Practice, curated and led this panel that welcomes a range of leading transdisciplinary researchers and practitioners in fashion and aesthetics: Martina Menegon, Brigitta Zics, Miyö Van Stenis, Rebecca Stewart and Erik Zepka. The discussion focussed on art, practice and theory especially as it pertains to embodied experience in relation to fashion media.

This was the 7th marart.org Mixed Reality Aesthetics Panel, hosted by The School of Media and Communications @ the London College of Fashion. Beginning in Seoul (2010), then taking place in Basel (2011), Sydney (2013), Adelaide (2013), Munich (2014) and Fukuoka (2015) this panel continued previous discussions around how we define aesthetics in the advent of recent embodied technologies, this year with a focus on fashion, bodies and reality. The evolution of fashionable technology, after a rather slow beginning, has risen considerably in recent years, particularly within fashion media and is now a core area of focus in the industry.
